Replacing 5.4 litter iron engine block with Aluminum block, gt500?
5.4 litter aluminum block is 90 pounds lighter than the stock 5.4 cast iron block and keeping aluminum cool is much easier than iron. I have couple questions. First, how hard is it to replace the 5.4 litter heavy cast iron engine block with the Lighter aluminum engine block? How long does it take? Any idea of how much the replacing is going to cost and is there any risk of spoiling the reliability?
first it`s easier to shave 90 lbs off of the car elsewhere
and when aluminum overheats it WARPS BAD, which would be a wasted engine if that happens.
