95 integra gsr thermostat replacement?
Is the thermostat located at the top or lower hose....is there anyway i can mess the installation up...all you have to do is disconnect the hose and pop the new one in right? Also, would it hurt not to drain the radiator all the way? Thanks
its the bottom hose that goes into the back of your motor...you disconnect the hose and take of the thermostat housing ...after that you replace the thermostat and put a layer or two of gasket maker (silicon) onto the housing and close it up...replace your hose and then do a radiator fluid flush....its better now when your already touching the stuff then later...plus you could get all the debri out instead of it messing up the radiator or the waterpump...but you dont have to....and then let your car run until all the air pockets are out...fill the fluid as it goes down...then close up your cap...also check if the bottom hose gets hot or not...if its hot then the thermostat is working..it will take a while...
